THE SYNOD TEAM UPDATE
The St. Ignatius Synod Evangelization Team has met four times since the end of January. 1600 Representatives from all the parishes of the Archdiocese attended the kickoff
events held at various church locations. The team from St. Ignatius attended launch events on January 17th at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Oakdale and on January 28th at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Brooklyn Park. Archbishop Hebda was in attendance at both gatherings. At the January 28th meeting, Archbishop Samir Nassar from Damascus, Syria, the sister diocese of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis, accompanied Archbishop Hebda. These meetings marked the pre-launch for the School of Discipleship which began February 7th and continues through March 28.
The School of Discipleship sessions have been live streamed to 14 different churches throughout the Archdiocese. Our meetings are being hosted by Father Nathaniel Meyers at St.Francis Xavier, Buffalo. Jeff Cavins is the presenter for the School of Discipleship. Jeff’s history as a Catholic turned Protestant and return to the Catholic Church provides a unique lens and a passion for Catholic teaching. His ap- proach is relatable and stresses the importance of living out our faith and sharing it with our families and with those whom we interact. In so doing, we are living out the tenets of the School of Discipleship, such as: following Jesus, imitating God, and going all in.
We are grateful for the ways in which the Synod processes have positively impacted the St. Ignatius community. The post-Synod group dinner, the recent study of the Mass, and
the summer Parish picnic were born out of the Synod process. We are excited about the opportunities to create deeper connections within the Parish and the community of
Annandale.

Please pray for the Synod.
Holy Spirit,
renew your wonders in our time, as though in a new Pentecost,
and grant that this Archdiocese,
united in prayer around Mary, the Mother of Jesus,
and guided by St. Peter,
may spread the Kingdom of the divine Savior,
a Kingdom of truth, of justice, of love, and of peace.
Amen.
Saint Paul, our great missionary patron, pray for us
